Dental Bridges

A natural solution to replace missing teeth

Bridges are natural-looking replacements for your missing front or back teeth. They also stop the teeth either side of the gap from moving out of position, which can lead to discomfort and problems when you bite or chew. This treatment crowns the two teeth either side of the missing teeth and then false teeth are permanently fixed to them, therefore ‘bridging the gap’.

We will first prepare the teeth either side of the gap and take an impression, which we send to the laboratory where your bridge is made. We will then cement your new bridge in place with a special adhesive, without the need for a plate or denture.

Bridge FAQs

Why might I need a bridge?

A bridge is a replacement for one or more missing teeth and a permanent alternative to dentures.

What is a bridge made of?

Bridges are made from strong materials, usually a metal or porcelain framework, onto which is built a porcelain outer layer. New materials now mean that bridges can be constructed from strong, tooth coloured materials in a single structure.

How long will it last?

As with any dental work, this is dependent on how well it is cared for but, if looked after properly, it should last many years or even a lifetime.
